Lecture at energy4you at Karlsruhe University of Applied Sciences on September 14th - Waste heat recovery from chillers and electrical steam generation with high-temperature heat pumps

Our project engineer, Tobias Wurz, explains the necessary steps for substituting the use of fossil fuels with waste heat from chillers. From energy measurements, pinch analyses or a concept selection of the technology to be used, concepts are shown to raise the waste heat to various usable temperature levels up to 180 °C.

Whether it is a chiller or a heat pump depends on your point of view, but the machine is the same. Ideally, it is possible to use the cooling and heating energy from one machine. This means that electrical energy only has to be applied once in order to use both heat flows.

We would be pleased to support you with your projects.
