Cold has the physical property of sinking, which means that the shins are cooled down the most and this leads to skin damage relatively quickly. The even air circulation within our whole-body cold chamber creates a homogeneous temperature distribution from head to toe. However, the air speed is kept very low in order to provide the end customer with a particularly pleasant experience. Our temperature profile is unique on the market and provides the user with the maximum experience and the best possible cooling over the entire body.

Quality, reliability and political security for the future

There is a major problem in the market for whole-body cold chambers. This concerns the costs, temperatures and benefits for the customer. Many refrigeration chamber operators are misled by the low investment costs for chambers with conventional refrigeration technology and forget the importance of quality, reliability and political future-proofing of the technology. We often hear of failed systems, high unplanned maintenance costs and unapproved materials used. In addition, many do not realise that in the long term, low operating costs are more important for the sustainable success of the company than low investment costs.

Technical details of the whole-body cold chamber

  • Insulation

    The insulation is realised with proven polyurethane insulation elements from Teledoor. These can be optimised with integrated vacuum panels depending on requirements. When cold, the elements contract and the outer shell remains warm. This results in mechanical stress, which increases with higher temperature differences and greater chamber heights. Our chambers are reinforced with hook locks in the chambers so that the chamber is mechanically stable even after many temperature changes. We also check all our installations with a thermal imaging camera to optimise penetrations such as cable ducts.

  • Floor structure

    A level floor is required for the floor structure. We can also realise this with screed work as an option. The floor itself is equipped with non-slip, fully welded stainless steel plates for easy cleaning.

  • Control system

    The solution includes the complete control system including control cabinet. The control system is realised via an S7 from Siemens and can optionally be equipped with a redundant H control system, additional backup control system and audit trail (GAMP 5). The control system can be fully integrated into the building management system (BMS) using the classic interfaces. In addition, faults can be detected and rectified at an early stage via remote maintenance if required.

  • Lighting

    The lighting is realised with robust special LEDs. Unlike normal LED lights, these remain bright at low temperatures and can be switched on and off. This enables very efficient and safe operation. They are also battery-buffered so that the room can be left safely even in the event of a power failure.

Technical versions

  • Refrigeration technology

    We use the cold air chiller from Mirai Intex with only air (R729) as a refrigerant to cool the full-body cold chamber. With its mechanical defrosting system, this ensures homogeneous temperature distribution, dry room air with a dew point reduction of up to 20 °C and constant temperatures without defrosting cycles.

  • Security

    Our full-body cold chambers are characterised by non-slip floors, bright lighting, low ice formation and mechanical de-icing.
