Processes

Process safety, product quality and energy efficiency are the key challenges of modern industrial applications. Whether freezing, lyophilisation, liquefaction or temperature control in reactors - precise, reproducible process steps are crucial for reliable results and economical operation.

Refolution combines highly dynamic refrigeration technology with intelligent process integration, energy-efficient systems and sustainable concepts - from sensitive pharmaceutical and bioproducts to sophisticated materials and healthcare technology.

Freezing processes

Whether food, pharmaceuticals or biotechnology - precise freezing is crucial for quality and product safety. Strict temperature and process specifications apply, especially for blood plasma and sensitive bioproducts, active ingredients or cell cultures; precisely controlled, reproducible freezing curves are necessary to avoid structural changes and loss of quality.
Modern rapid and shock freezing processes ensure that the structure, shelf life and function of the products are optimally preserved. Homogeneous air flows, even temperature distribution and short freezing times ensure that even large batches are treated reliably. At the same time, energy-efficient refrigeration technology, integrated waste heat utilisation and the use of natural refrigerants reduce energy consumption and CO₂ emissions - with high process reliability, good integration capability in existing systems and long-term regulatory security for the future.

Lyophilisation

Freeze-drying (lyophilisation) is a key process for the long-term preservation of sensitive products. In the pharmaceutical industry, it ensures the stability of active ingredients, while in food and biotechnology it enables long shelf life with consistent quality.
The combination of freezing and vacuum drying removes water particularly gently, so that active ingredients, nutrients and consistency are retained. Energy-efficient refrigeration technology and waste heat utilisation reduce energy requirements and CO₂ emissions - and combine high product safety with efficiency and sustainability in pharmaceuticals, food, research and medicine.

Liquefaction

Refolution develops technologies based on natural refrigerants that combine energy efficiency and sustainability - reliably applicable from industrial processes to the pharmaceutical industry.

With cryocondensation, even solvent vapours that are difficult to condense can be efficiently liquefied through extreme cold. This enables the almost complete recovery and reuse of solvents, lowers raw material costs and reduces VOC emissions.

Integration into existing production processes increases efficiency, process reliability and sustainability - a future-proof solution for modern systems.

Reactor cooling

Refolution offers innovative cooling solutions for chemical, pharmaceutical and biotechnological reactors. With natural refrigerants and energy-efficient technology, even demanding processes are precisely temperature-controlled - for maximum safety and quality.

The integration of modern refrigeration technology and waste heat utilisation reduces costs and CO₂ emissions, while creating synergies in energy management. This ensures sustainable, economical and future-proof production.

Material

Refolution offers innovative cryogenic solutions that can be used to specifically influence material properties - for example in steel hardening. By using sustainable refrigerants and energy-efficient technology, components are reliably cooled down to the cryogenic range. This allows stresses to be relieved, structures to be refined and the service life of materials to be significantly increased - sustainably, economically and future-proof.

Health

With state-of-the-art whole-body cooling technology, Refolution offers innovative systems for health, sport and regeneration. The controlled application of extremely low temperatures provides targeted support for metabolism, blood circulation and recovery - efficiently, safely and sustainably.

We will find the right solution for your process and look forward to hearing from you.
